Scenes from an Iraki Childhood - Incident at Samra
Written by Mohammed Ibn Laith on June 25, 2008 – 10:47 pmThis is Khalid Mohammed, he’s nine years old. The village he’s from is called Samra and it is 15 Kilometres north of Tikrit. Today Wednesday June 25th 2008 the Americans bombed his uncle’s house — those are the ruins you can see Khalid sitting on and crying. The American killed, Khalid’s uncle, his aunt, and four of their children who were aged between four and 11, 3 other children are seriously wounded.
The Americans are now trying to claim that there were no casualties from this attack. Oh really? Tell that to Khalid, tell it to his dead family members. And while you are at it explain to him why he and everyone else in the village were forced from their houses at gunpoint by American troops who, surprise, surprise, didn’t find their imaginary gunman from al-Qaeda in any of the houses. You can also explain to the survivors of the American bombing of their home why having killed their parents and siblings you prevented villagers from using their cars to evacuate the wounded to hospital.
Just another pack of lies, from the cowardly death squad in uniform that calls itself the American army.

Akeel Faisal Ghazi was two years old. He was one of the people killed in the al-Hurriyah market bombing yesterday. The man holding his body in his arms is his father.

لا قتلى ولا جرحى في العراق منذ الثانية بعد الظهر
خلا المشهد الامني في العراق من سقوط قتلى وجرحى من الساعة الثانية ظهرا وحتى الساعة التاسعة من مساء الجمعة فيما اعتقلت اجهزة الامن 33 شخصا ليرتفع الى 77 عدد المعتقلين ويستقر عند ثلاثة عدد القتلى ويقف عند 11 عدد الجرحى حصيلة اعمال العنف خلال الـ24 ساعة الماضية في عموم ارجاء العراق.

ففي كربلاء قال اللواء رائد شاكر جودت قائد عمليات المحافظة للوكالة المستقلة للأنباء (أصوات العراق) ان اجهزته اعتقلت الجمعة 12 مسلحا شمال كربلاء مطلوبين للأجهزة الأمنية يشكلون خلية مسلحة أثناء محاولتهم التسلل إلى مدينة عبر بساتين زراعية من محافظة مجاورة وبحوزتهم أسلحة ومتفجرات مختلفة.
وفي المحافظة نفسها، قال المصدر ذاته، ان قواته اعتقلت الجمعة ضابطا كبيرا برتبة عميد وثلاثة من منتسبي شرطة المحافظة بتهمة تجاوزهم على القانون وانتهاكهم لحقوق الإنسان أثناء عمليات الدهم والتفتيش.
وفي الديوانية ذكر مصدر امني مسؤول أن قوات مشتركة نفذت، الجمعة، عمليات دهم وتفتيش في احد الأحياء السكنية جنوبي المدينة أسفرت عن اعتقال مطلوبين امنيين والعثور على مخبأ للأسلحة والذخائر.
وفي ميسان قال مصدر في الشرطة ان مفارز ه تمكنت، الجمعة، من اعتقال 15 مطلوبا امنيا في المحافظة الواقعة جنوبي العراق.

تظاهرة لانصار التيار الصدري تنديدا بالاتفاقية طويلة الامد
تظاهر الالاف من انصار التيار الصدري بعد صلاة الجمعة اليوم في مدينة الصدر منددين بالاتفاقية طويلة الامد المزمع عقدها بين العراق والولايات المتحدة الامريكية. وقال مصدر اعلامي من مكتب الشهيد الصدر ان الالاف من انصار التيار الصدري تظاهروا بعد صلاة الجمعة التي اقامها المسؤول في مكتب التيار الصدري بمدينة الصدر شرقي بغداد الشيخ مهند الغراوي والهادفة للتنديد بالاتفاقية طويلة الامد كونها تمس بسيادة العراق. واضاف ان المتظاهرين رفعوا لافتات تندد بالوجود الاجنبي في العراق اضافة الى الاعلام العراقية وطالبوا الحكومة العراقية برفض الاتفاقية واطلاق سراح المعتقلين من ابناء التيار الصدري. وجاءت التظاهرة تلبية لنداء اطلقه السيد مقتدى الصدر الثلاثاء الماضي دعا فيه اتباعه للخروج بعد صلاة كل جمعة للتنديد بالاتفاقية التي يروم العراق توقيعها مع الولايات المتحدة والتي ما زالت المفاوضات جارية بشأنها بين الطرفين. من جانب اخر قال النائب عن الكتلة الصدرية احمد المسعودي اليوم الجمعة ان هذه التظاهرات تأتي لدعم موقف الحكومة في تفاوضها مع الادارة الامريكية موضحا بان هذه التظاهرات ستقوي موقف الحكومة اثناء مفاوضاتها حول بنود الاتفاقية . واشار الى ان التظاهرة تهدف ايضا لايصال رسالة للحكومة بان الشعب العراقي يرفض اية اتفاقية تنتهك سيادة العراق
