Abbas Jabbar
Abbas Jabbar was two years old he was one of the children killed in the mortar attack on Mamil. Sadr City hospital officials originally gave the death toll as 4 but later upgraded the toll to 5 children killed and several wounded. In the first photo Abbas’ wrapped corpse is seen in the living room of his home. The man sitting beside his body to the left is his father Nadim, his mother and other family members are seen gathered round the corpse.
In this second photo Nadim Jabbar is seen carrying his two year old son’s body from their home for burial. The other children in the photo are Abbas’ brothers and sister. The woman holding the little girl’s hand is his mother.
