    I think you mean the war for painted hussies or the war on behalf of painted hussies. The war on painted hussies would imply that they are against these painted hussies. Hussies being the plural of hussy.

    Dairy Maid JAM is “Jaish Al Mahdi” what Americans call the “Mahdi Militia”

    It was I think the editor having a little fun with a typing mistake and the idea of American mountings a raid and detaining the Mahdi Miltia for wearing make up.
