Reports from Irak July 19 2007

The water crisis in Irak is worsening. Full report here.

In Diyala the scene of operation “Arrowhead ripper” involving 10,000 American and green zone government troops 250 gunmen hoisted banners and flags of Al Qaeda and Islamic State of Irak in Muqdadiya and held a parade.

The bridge bombing campaign escalated.

A brigard of green zone government troops has been withdrawn from Baghdad and returned to Mosul

As we reported immediately below (see: اصوات العراق - وزير التخطيط: سأقدم إستقالتي بعد ساعة من إقرار قانون النفط والغاز) The green zone government minister of planning and development cooperation has said that he will resign “one hour” after passing the controversial oil and gas bill into law which the American invaders whose soldiers are still trying to subjugate Irak have demanded be passed as a “progress benchmark”.

Ali Baban told the independent Iraki news agency Aswat Al Iraq that he would resign within one hour of the “law” being passed by the green zone parliament if it was passed in the form sent to it by the green zone government headed by Nouri Al Maliki.

He objects strenuously to the provisions within the “law” that the American invaders have demanded be passed that gives foreign companies control of Iraki oil for 50 years after which they will hand the left overs back for the Irakis to clean up.

In his interview Baban stressed that he, a number of other ministers, legislators, oil experts, were seeking to mobilise the Iraki people against the law that the green zone government are trying to pass to please their American masters. He called for a referendum on the law and for Irakis to be given copies of the draft to make them aware of what it says. He called also on for civil society organisations to mount campaigns:

“to increase people’s awareness of the dangers of this law”

The opposition within green zone government “prime minister” Maliki’s own party to the 4 party alliance which he intends to achieve with the Dawa Party, the Supreme Council (SCIRI) and the two main Kurdish parties, faces growing opposition from within Dawa. As we have reported previously there are moves within Dawa to oust the weak and isolated Al Maliki and replace him with Ibrahim Al Jafari who was ousted at the demand of the American invaders. Opponents say the Maliki’s move will result in problems “erupting in the future” as it strengthens the communal divide in Irak. They say that the idea of the four-party alliance was initiated by green zone government President Jalal Talabani under the title 3 +1 a reference to the distribution of powers of the Prime Minister to the President and VP in addition to the Prime Minister.

Reports From Baghdad

The Muhammad Rasoul Allah Mosque in al-Atibaa was blown up in a coordinated series of explosions by attackers.

17 corpses were found in Baghdad 15 of those bodies were found in Karkh, 2 in Rasafa.

Soldiers from the American army still trying to subjugate Irak launched a series of raids on homes in Sadr city. The operation was conducted amid severe precautionary measures by the American forces before the start of the operation. The raids appear to be random. The Americans forces detained six people for questioning. Also Sadr city came under mortar attack - 4 shells no reports of casualties yet.

The armed factions being used by the Americans are preparing to fight the Jaish Al Mahdi.

Simply too disgusting they lie like their masters when they are caught.

The green zone government Interior Ministry have said that green zone government forces will start operations in Jihad and Saydiyah as part of the “American Surge” to subjugate Baghdad.

Green zone government spokesman al-Dabbagh has demanded that the Turkish armed forces cease attacking Dohuk. (Journalists reported this but nobody else paid any attention.)

Nouri Al Maliki the green zone government prime minister imposed at the demand of the Americans as green zone government ”leader” has been forced to postpone announcing the names of the 6 ministers to replace the 6 Sadrist bloc supporters who resigned from his “government” again.

The IAF are to return to the green zone parliament statement here.

The commander of the soldiers from the American army still trying to subjugate Irak had a meeting with the green zone government in which he discussed why the soldiers from the American army still trying to subjugate Irak would not hand over security to their green zone government underlings. An English account of this meeting can be read here (ensure oral cavity empty before reading.).

39 American soldiers have been killed in Irak between July 1st 2007 and today.
