As mark and Saba predicted in Reports From Irak June 25th 2007 the green zone government launched a raid against the Sadrists in the town of Suq (30 km south of Nasiriyah) Residents heard a very loud at 4 in the morning the “special forces” of the green zone government army, backed by American helicopters searched first the office of martyr al-Sadr (political office) and then headed to a building nearby which serve as the operations room for the Mahdi Army forces. They searched and confiscated quantities of arms which were then bolown up by dynamite, a number of civilian houses near the building of suffered material damage in that explosion a number of its civilian occupants were injured and were evacuated to the hospital.
