I echo your sentiments and will only add that right now while these significant and contemplative events for so many are occurring, the American government is seriously considering legalizing torture and holding those that have already permitted it, ordered it, or done it unaccountable and I am sorry for my part.
I will fight it with every fiber of my being and promise that we will do better.
You and so many others are surely my brothers and my sisters.

Let us hope we Americans are successful in our efforts to stop the torture insanity. I can’t believe that any Senator would dare to present a serious argument in defense of torture in the Senate Chamber for the record, but I am sure some will try to do so.
