For Deb “steal all you like” - Part 1 (Monday, January 23rd, 2006)

  • “Steal the code” click into the form.
  • Right click
  • “Select all”
  • “Copy”
  • You know what to do after that :-)

Using a span either as a class or an ID saves you messing around with pseudoclasses which IMO are more trouble than they’re worth. If I remember correctly Stu has something similar. You might want to toddle along and search his site. This is just one of a heap of methods that I use. Let me know if you want me to post the others.

By virtue of synchronicity I’m working on a “magazine cover page” layout. For a site of my own. I’m doing this in what I laughingly refer to as my “spare time.” I’ll let you know when it’s ready.

NB: Not to be linked to from OF I’ve got enough spamming problems already.

Thanks, this is interesting. And yes, I would love to see your magazine site as that was a search project for me to accomplish, looking for magazine sites to see how they are published.

Would also be willing to see what else you have to show. I should get a list of thigns that I have done and send them to you. Just know that they are all templates.

And don’t worry about linking to the afore mentioned site, promise not to do so.

The above is my dream site, and am looking forward to getting adsense on it. As well as getting it back into my new forum.

Stu’s site is here SOme of his examples are immediately obvious some you need to spend some brain sweat on. He’s extremely helpful. If you’re having trouble learning css you should go here It helps if you already are reasonably proficient with (X)HTML if you’re sturggling a bit with that go here OR if you like working from a book rather than on-line then the book you need is the one by ELizabeth Castro HTML for the World Wide Web, Fifth Edition with XHTML and CSS: Visual QuickStart Guide
